Kyle wanted to share some of the latest photos of his accomplishments. He didn’t quit at crawling. Now he can pull himself up onto all fours, like Mowgli, and also bring himself to a standing position with the right stuff to hang on to. Walking is just around the corner. Let’s hope it’s not too soon! (for us parent’s sake). He’s also opening cabinet door and drawers. He loves the entertainment center. He’s only banged his fingers in the drawers a couple of times, so far. More suprise tears than pain. He’s also expanding his diet. He now demands ‘Joe’s O’s’ at ever meal. We’ll he doesn’t really demand, but he sure enjoys them. He likes bread and doesn’t like mushed brocolli, but he’ll eat it whole, and he gags on brown rice. So much for all the ‘fresh’ cereal Mom made. I guess we can’t win them all.

We’re having to baby proof the house finally. Kyle seems to have mastered crawling in a little over a week. Now that he is mobile he’s beginning to make trouble. He’s learning how to grab things he shouldn’t and open things and enter places he really doesn’t need to be. Also, he comes when we call to him and he follows us all over the house. He’s a bit slow, and he complains (grunts and huffs and whines) a bit if he has to go super far, but he’ll go from one end of the house to the other.

Yay! Kyle learned how to put the tranny in gear. He can now crawl forward! He’s still only a two speed machine, slow or stop but he eventually gets where he wants to go. He’s a little wobbly too. He’s crashed and burned and bonked multiple body parts. He cries much more often now that he’s mobile.
He also has a tooth poking through the gums. Teething really sucks for the whole family. He cried from 10:00 until midnight last night. We were all walking around like zombies today. Glad today is finally over.

Kyle now scoots along the floor very well. He’s great at going backwards and good at going from tummy to sitting, but he hasn’t gotten the hang of going forward yet. It’s only a matter of time.
We all had a doctor’s appointment today. Kyle was slightly heavier at 18 pounds 4 ounces and still 29 inches long.
