Happy Dada da… close enough. Busy weekend here with LOTS of family and friends around.

Kyle news: Kyle practically runs now if you’re holding on to both of his hands. He still doesn’t like to go anywhere with only one hand stabilizing things. He still only says “Hi,” but says mamamamama when he’s blubbering. Does that count? Oh, he’s also become quite good with his pointy finger. He now points at everything that he wants. It’s a little easier to figure out than the cry he used to do, but now he expects you to go where he points. He points mostly at fans, lights and for “up.”

Hi.  Hiiiiii.  Hiii.  That’s Kyle’s first word.  Simply, ‘hi.’  It must  be because we say that every time we see him.  The jury’s out on whether he knows what it means… probably not, but he sure says it at appropriate times.  (like, all the time). 

We filled his sand box with sand and he LOVES to play in it.  He’s only eaten a little bit of the sand, and we think he’s learned that it doesn’t really taste very good.  He didn’t eat any tonight.

Kyle got his first hair cut last weekend!  I must say, it’s nearly impossible to give a squirmy 10 1/2 month old baby a hair cut.  All he wanted to do was play with the scissors and the comb.  Mom did a very good job, while Dad gave him his only bald spot.  Oops.  I apologized profusely to Kyle, but I don’t think he even noticed.  After nearly a week it’s already growing in nicely, and he looks very much like a boy now.  No more girly curls.
