It’s a GIRL!

Filed under: General — Tim @ 9:34 pm

Boy were we surprised at the ultrasound today.  We’re having a girl!  We would’ve bet a lot that we were having a boy since it runs in the family.  But, nope, we’ve been blessed by a girl.  Just what Kyle ordered.

She’s kinda freaky looking in the ultrasound “pictures”:http://www.labrodeurs.org/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=94&page=1 , but we love her anyway… Meghann says she resembles Jack Skellington, or Sally from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas.’  I say she resembles Mom.

Gardening

Filed under: General — Tim @ 9:18 pm

Wow, are we behind in posting pictures for our family.  Well, it’s been over a month and we’re back.  January was super busy, but not many “photos”:http://www.labrodeurs.org/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=92 .  We were all sick for the first week of it, and Tim was on business travel for one week of it, so all that didn’t help photography.  Tim is entering a brewing contest at the end of March, so there was lots of January activity at the Brodeur Brewery.  Kyle stopped napping in January also.  This is a disappointment to his mother, who enjoyed the couple hours of downtime to catch up.  Now everyone is frazzled by the end of the day and Kyle is usually CRANKY!  Kyle also planted his first dixie cup garden by the window.  He planted tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, onions, carrots, basil, parsley, bell peppers, and squash.  Yum!  Lets see what else.  Kyle got a big boy bed (and the very first day he got it, he napped on the floor).  Mom and Dad got a new refrigerator.  Our fence blew down in a storm.  Tim got a new keg for the ‘new’ beer fridge in the garage.  Phew, busy.
February is looking a bit better for “pictures”:http://www.labrodeurs.org/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=93 .  We are preparing the yard for Kyle’s garden and took some photos of the progress.  In the past couple week we dug 14 holes for 4 fruit trees and 10 roses.  We also built three raised beds for the garden.  Ouch, our aching backs!  It’s all worth it as Kyle will have a ball eating fresh veggies later this summer.
